It is so important for children to understand the things that are happening around them in the church. Some of them may not know how Jesus can fit inside their heart, or why we eat little crackers and drink little cups of juice in big church, or why the pastor gets to dunk people in the water in front of everyone. You may have heard questions similar to these statements from your own children. Can you imagine how confused you would be if you saw all these things for the first time and no one took the time to explain to you exactly what they mean?

This is why Mr. Steve Hancock teaches Promises to Keep. He meets with young children and one of their parents to explain and discuss salvation, baptism, the Lords Supper, and other things that we do at church. The class is designed specifically for children in terms that they will understand. I would encourage you to allow your child to go to Promises to Keep, especially if they are beginning to ask questions about salvation.

"Promises to Keep" is available quarterly and there are usually four sessions, held on Wednesdays and Sundays before the evening Worship service. Parents are encouraged to attend with their child.
