First Baptist is in love with children and it shows in our preschool area. Every effort is made to provide a program that meets the needs of each child from birth through kindergarten. We use attractive instructional materials, modern equipment, Bible-centered curriculum, well-planned unit structure, and many approaches to provide a well rounded experience for every child. Our teachers have definite purposes in mind each time your preschooler is at church. We feel very blessed to have the opportunity to minister to God's smallest boys and girls, and their families.

Sunday School is the basis on which we build our Preschool Ministry. Our approach to teaching preschoolers is as simple as ABC:

Activity centered
Bible based
Child centered

We accomplished this by using the eight subject areas in our teaching curriculum: God, Jesus, natural world, Bible, self, others, family and church. On Sunday, the Preschool Ministry offers these activities for the Preschoolers:

9:15am Sunday School (by appropriate age grouping)

10:30am Extended Teaching Care (for babies thru 4 years)

Children's Church (for PK/2 grade)

5:30pm Music Time Choir (for PK/K)

Additional opportunities for Preschoolers:

.... AWANA s (for preschoolers ages 3 and older) meets on Wednesday nights throughout the school year from 6:00-8:00pm.

... Splash Day (July)

... Kindergarten Kickoff (August)
