Precept Ministries is known as the "inductive Bible study people." This method focuses on the Bible itself, teaching students tools that allow anyone to study any passage for themselves. The result is a personal, one-on-one encounter with the Living God. Using the inductive method, classes study various books of the Bible or topics, such as covenant or spiritual gifts. Classes are open to anyone at any level and never close their membership. Each week students complete a workbook assignment, then come for a 1-hour discussion and a 1-hour video lecture by either Kay Arthur or one of the other excellent teachers on the Precept staff.

Winter 2007 Precept Course
2 Samuel/1 Chronicles
The Life of David—A Man After God’s Own Heart

Someday, we, as the children of God, will reign with the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings, the Lord of lords. What lessons can we learn from the life of David to prepare us for that glorious day? This is how our Winter course begins. David’s life is laid out for us in the books of 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles so we can see what it looks like to be a man after God’s own heart in the midst of unimaginable challenges. Through David’s struggles we will be encouraged to trust God no matter what the circumstances.
