Whenever there is a death within the
church family, a group from the Sunday School class or
department where the member attended or served, uses
money donated for this purpose to provide the meat,
bread, etc. Class members bring salads, vegetables, or
desserts. An assigned team then prepares and serves a
meal for the family and friends of the deceased. Most of
the time this is provided at the church following the
funeral service. However, when this does not meet the
families’ needs, a meal may be taken to a home or
even at times to the funeral home. This ministry also
serves as an outreach to family members who may not know
Christ as Lord and Savior.
