We offer an exciting and fully graded
program for children in grades one through six. Children
are special to us and we provide them numerous
opportunities to learn and develop. In addition to
exciting Bible Study each Sunday, our Children's
Ministries include: Children's Camp, Vacation Bible
School, seasonal fellowships,
trips, Bible Drill Competition, children's choirs, and
children's mission organizations.
CHOIRS
We have a choir for grades 1-3 and 4-6. Choirs meet on
Sunday evening and offer wonderful opportunities for our
children to learn fundamentals and to express themselves
musically.
MINISTRY
We meet needs through a program of Christian Education
that includes weekly and annual events, and through
additional events, in recreation, missions, and Bible
Study. Through these and other opportunities for parents
and children, we provide spiritual concepts to the
families of First Baptist Church. From the modern
facilities in our church to the gifted teachers in the
classrooms, we demonstrate that children are a priority
at First Baptist.
The goal of the Children's
Ministry of First Baptist is to help children and their
families have meaningful experiences in Christian love,
service, fellowship, and growth. We attempt to meet each
child where he is developmentally, as well as to plan
activities that will help him to grow and learn. By
teaching the total child, foundations for future
decisions and growth are laid.
